Terms and Conditions

The below terms and conditions apply to participants who will attend courses at Sharjah Surgical Institute, University of Sharjah:  By submitting your registration, you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions stipulated below:

ATTENDANCE:

By completing this registration form, you confirm and acknowledge that you are attending the course in your capacity as a Participant. Sharjah Surgical Institute, University of Sharjah reserves the right to refuse admission, and the same will be notified accordingly to the Participant.

FEES & PAYMENT TERMS:

Prices for each course is inclusive of Value Added Tax (VAT), as per UAE laws and regulations.

Sharjah Surgical Institute, University of Sharjah reserves the right to change the prices of the course at any time but changes will not affect registrations which have already been confirmed by Sharjah Surgical Institute, University of Sharjah.

THIRD-PARTY AND GROUP REGISTRATION

If you are booking on behalf of another person, you confirm that you are authorized by that person to make the booking and that the person has confirmed their agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions. You acknowledge and agree that both you and the person for whom you are making the booking will be bound by these terms and conditions mentioned herein.

You also acknowledge and agree to provide details of the participants in the required format.

Sharjah Surgical Institute, University of Sharjah shall not be liable for the consequences or damages directly or indirectly ensuing from incorrect, misleading, imprecise or incomplete information either contained in the registration form or based on any other details furnished by the participant; Sharjah Surgical Institute, University of Sharjah reserves the right to refuse to consider inadequately or not fully completed registration forms or registration forms submitted later than the date specified.

CANCELLATION, SUBSTITUTION/REGISTRATION TRANSFER & REFUND POLICY

No refunds can be given. Registration fees once processed cannot be canceled or refunded, however, the following is permitted under the discretion of Sharjah Surgical Institute, University of Sharjah"

• Registration may be transferred to another person (substitution) subject to agreement with Sharjah Surgical Institute, University of Sharjah and supported by clear written communication, in special conditions such as personal ailments or non-issuance of visas, Sharjah Surgical Institute, University of Sharjah reserves the right to reject such a request.
• If in any circumstances due to an emergency situation participants wanted to cancel their Registration the transfer of fees can be done to the same course or to other courses upon approval from the Director.
• In the event that the Sharjah Surgical Institute, University of Sharjah cancels a course for any reason, you will receive full amount of the conference fee paid.
• In the event that the Sharjah Surgical Institute, University of Sharjah postpone a course for any reason and the participant is unable or unwilling to attend on the rescheduled date, you will receive the full amount of the course fee paid.
• Sharjah Surgical Institute, University of Sharjah reserves the right to cancel any registration after confirmation in which case all fees paid will be refunded. You acknowledge that the refund of registration fees is your sole remedy in the event of cancellation of your registration by Sharjah Surgical Institute, University of Sharjah and all other liability is expressly excluded.
• Except as specified above, no credits will be issued for other forms of cancellation.
• Sharjah Surgical Institute, University of Sharjah is not responsible for any loss or damage as a result of a transfer, substitution, alteration and/or cancellation/postponement of the course. Sharjah Surgical Institute, University of Sharjah shall assume no liability whatsoever in the event of any course is canceled, rescheduled or postponed due to fortuitous event, act of God, unforeseen occurrence or any other event that renders performance of the course impracticable, illegal or impossible. For the purpose of this Clause, a fortuitous event shall include, but not limited to war, fire, extreme weather or other emergencies.
  

PROGRAM CHANGES

Please note that the Course Faculty and Programme are confirmed for all the courses listed on the website; HOWEVER, it may be necessary due to unforeseen circumstances to alter the content, timing, faculty or venue. Sharjah Surgical Institute, University of Sharjah reserves the right at any time to postpone, change the format, alter or modify the advertised Course Faculty and/or topics if necessary, participants, content, location, and timing of the Course or any other aspect of the Course, in each case without liability for any reason whether or not due to causes beyond its reasonable control. In the event that the course is canceled, and other aforementioned occurrences, Participants will be notified promptly prior to the advertised date of the event. Sharjah Surgical Institute, University of Sharjah accepts no liability in respect of any loss or damage, whether direct, consequential or otherwise arising from any delay in providing the course or change of venue. NON-APPEARANCE / CANCELLATION OF FACULTY

Should Faculty (ies) of the course fail to appear, either due to illness, accident or by cancellation, adverse weather conditions or any travel disruption, Sharjah Surgical Institute, University of Sharjah accepts no liability for these, and that neither party nor any representative shall be liable for any payment and/or refunds.

Sharjah Surgical Institute, University of Sharjah reserves the right without liability to refuse admission to, or to eject from the Course, any person in its absolute discretion, including (without limitation) any person who fails to comply with these terms and conditions or who in the opinion of Sharjah Surgical Institute, University of Sharjah represents a security risk, nuisance or annoyance to the running of the Course. You agree to comply with all instructions issued by Sharjah Surgical Institute, University of Sharjah or the venue owners at the Course.

ACCOMMODATION/TRAVEL

Please note that accommodation and travel are not included in the course fee;

Accommodation/ travel arrangements must be made by the Attending Participants.

PROMOTIONAL ACTIVITY

No Participant shall engage in or permit filming, sound or video recording, telecasting and broadcasting during the course unless prior written approval is obtained from Sharjah Surgical Institute, University of Sharjah.

No distribution of publicity materials is allowed during the course anywhere within the vicinity of the Course or anywhere else within the Institute.

PHOTOGRAPHY AND OTHER IMAGE RECORDINGS

All types of unauthorized photography and recording/transmitting of audio or visual material, data or information is expressly prohibited.

Photography and recordings photographs will be taken at the course by an official photographer by Sharjah Surgical Institute, the University of Sharjah which may be used by in post-event publicity and on future marketing materials and Social Media. In registering to attend the course, participants agree to the official photographer taking such photographs, and to Sharjah Surgical Institute, the University of Sharjah using the photographs as set out above. If you do not wish to be in any photography, kindly notify Training Officer immediately upon arrival at the course for further guidance.

PARTICIPANT IDENTIFICATION

Training Officer will issue badges for identification and admission purposes. Participants shall ensure that authorized personnel:

• Display their badges conspicuously whilst in the Venue; and
• Do not pass their badges to any other person(s).

The delegate must wear the identification badges issued by the Organizer at all times. Additional attendees/staff will be permitted upon payment of the relevant registration fees.

NOTE: For verification purposes, the Sharjah Surgical Institute, University of Sharjah shall reserve the right to request any identification.

DATA PROTECTION

Participants' information is kept on the Sharjah Surgical Institute, University of Sharjah database and used to assist in providing selected course information's which may be of interest to the Participants and which will be communicated by letter, phone, fax, email or other electronic means.

NOTE: Sharjah Surgical Institute, University of Sharjah may release the Participant personal data if only required to do so by law, or by search warrant, subpoena or court order.

COPYRIGHT

All intellectual property rights in all materials produced or distributed by Sharjah Surgical Institute, the University of Sharjah in connection with the course is expressly reserved and any unauthorized duplication, publication or distribution is prohibited.

FORCE MAJEURE

Sharjah Surgical Institute, University of Sharjah shall be under no liability if it is unable to carry out any provision of the contract for any reason beyond their control including Act of God, legislation, war, terrorist activity, fire, flood, drought, failure of power supply, lock-out, strike or any other general cases of "force majeure" whether or not "ejusdem generic" with the foregoing or any cause not within Sharjah Surgical Institute, University of Sharjah control or for any loss or damage sustained in the event that the opening or holding of the Course is prevented, postponed or abandoned or if the venue becomes totally or partially unavailable for the holding of the Course due to any of the foregoing causes.

EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY

Sharjah Surgical Institute, University of Sharjah excludes all liability for loss, injury or damage to persons or property at the Course. All indemnities, warranties, terms and conditions (whether express or implied) are excluded. Sharjah Surgical Institute, University of Sharjah accepts no liability for any loss or damage whatsoever that you may suffer in connection with or arising from the Course whether direct, indirect or consequential (including but not limited to loss of profit, loss of business or any other type of economic loss) or otherwise. In the event that Sharjah Surgical Institute, University of Sharjah is liable to you for any reason, it's total liability to you in relation to the Course (whether under these terms or conditions or otherwise) is limited to the amount of the registration fees paid by you to Sharjah Surgical Institute, University of Sharjah ONLY. The limitations and exclusions in this condition only apply to the extent permitted by applicable law.

AMENDMENT

Sharjah Surgical Institute, University of Sharjah reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions from time to time and you will be subject to the terms and conditions in force at the time your registration is submitted.

GOVERNING LAW

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, as applied in the Emirate of Sharjah, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Sharjah courts.
