Course objective
The aim of this program is to provide high quality training for the participants to ensure the safe practice of basic wound care
techniques according to the latest international guidelines and techniques. This will allow participants to acquire basic-level
skills in wound management. Including hands-on simulation-based training on models and
assisting in various clinical procedures.

What unique about this course
Examine skin wounds if there is any infection, deeper structural damage, or other
problems.
Determine the appropriate time to refer a patient with a wound for additional
medical care.
Differentiate between venous ulcers, arterial ulcers, and pressure sores.
Select an appropriate dressing for a skin wound.
Identify factors that can contribute to chronic wounds and those that can be
modified to improve wound healing.
Take a decision if the patient with a chronic wound needs to be referred for
advanced medical care.
Describe the tools required for mending wounds.
Use a manikin to practice wound-dressing skills while employing the sterile NonTouch Technique.
